9 Side Games, One App

Every format your group plays, tracked and scored automatically

Skins

Win the hole outright to claim the skin. Ties carry over to the next hole, building the pot. The most popular side game in golf.

Nassau

Three bets in one: front 9, back 9, and overall 18. Press when you're down to double the stakes. The gentleman's bet.

Wolf

Rotating captain picks a partner each hole - or goes Lone Wolf for double the points. Strategy meets scoring in this classic format.

Vegas

Two-person teams combine scores into a single number. Low score goes first. Big swings on every hole keep it exciting until the last putt.

Stableford

Points-based scoring that rewards birdies and eagles without punishing blowups. Double bogey? Pick up and move on. Great for mixed handicaps.

Match Play

Win holes, not strokes. Go head-to-head in classic match play format. Every hole is a fresh battle.

Dots / Junk

Bonus points for sandies, greenies, barkies, poleys, and more. Reward the spectacular shots that don't always show up on the scorecard.

Four-Ball (Best Ball)

Team format using the best score from each pair on every hole. Classic Ryder Cup format for your weekend foursome.

Split Sixes

Six points available per hole, split based on scores. Win the hole and take 4 points, tie and split 3-3, or lose and take just 2.

Side Games Questions

Is Side Games really free?
Yes, completely free. Side Games doesn't require any subscription. Just create an account and start playing. We built this because every golfer should have access to proper side game scoring.
Can I run multiple games in one round?
Absolutely. Run Skins, Nassau, and Dots all at the same time. Each game calculates independently, and the settlement combines everything at the end.
How does handicap allocation work?
Side Games supports WHS stroke allocation with four modes: gross (no handicaps), net with manual stroke index, net with even distribution, and net using the hardest holes. Fair games for any group.
How does the ledger work?
The ledger tracks running balances across all your side game rounds. After each round, the settlement shows net amounts owed. You can see your full history and running totals at any time.
Can I play with different group sizes?
Most games work with 2-4+ players. Team games like Vegas and Four-Ball auto-assign teams. Wolf works best with exactly 4. The app handles the format rules for you.
What about push-ups and penalty games?
Push-ups (penalty games) are tracked separately from money games so they don't affect your financial totals. Perfect for adding stakes without real money.
