Track, Measure, Decide

Scientific approach to swing improvement

  1. Establish BaselineTrack 5-10 rounds to establish your baseline stats before making any swing changes.
  2. Make and Log ChangeWhen you make a swing change, log it in the app with notes about what you're working on.
  3. Measure ImpactTrack 5-10 more rounds with new swing. Compare stats to baseline. Keep good changes, abandon bad ones.

Why Track Swing Changes?

Stop endless tinkering, start improving

Objective Feedback

Your swing might feel different, but is it actually better? Data provides objective truth about performance.

Maximize Lesson Value

See which lesson changes stick and help vs which don't. Get more value from coaching.

Stop Wasting Time

Average golfer makes 10+ swing changes per year. Most don't help. Data helps you keep only good changes.

Personalized Learning

Generic swing advice doesn't work for everyone. Track what works specifically for YOUR game.

Faster Improvement

Keep changes that help, abandon those that don't. Direct path to better golf instead of wandering.

Confidence Building

When data confirms a change is working, you'll commit to it fully. Commitment = better results.

Swing Analysis Questions

How many rounds do I need to evaluate a swing change?
We recommend at least 5 rounds with the new swing before evaluating. One round isn't enough - you need consistent data to see real impact.
What stats should I compare before and after?
Focus on scoring average, fairways hit, greens in regulation, and putts per round. If your goal is distance, also track driving distance.
What if my scores get worse after a swing change?
Some changes cause temporary worse performance before improvement. Give it 5-10 rounds. If still worse, consider abandoning the change.
Should I only make one swing change at a time?
Yes! Making multiple changes simultaneously makes it impossible to know what's helping and what's hurting. One change at a time.
Can I track swing thoughts?
Absolutely! Add notes about swing thoughts before rounds. See which thoughts correlate with better performance.
How do I know if lessons are working?
Compare your stats from 5 rounds before lessons to 10-15 rounds after. If key metrics improve, lessons are working.
